BBLaw, were instructed by a total of 8 individual clients, all of whom were being prosecuted for this quite serious offence, which carries an obligatory minimum 12 month disqualification. The allegations all arose from footage recorded by covert CCTV cameras hidden in a set of traffic lights at a pedestrian crossing on the A47 Heartlands Parkway in Nechells, Birmingham. We understand that somewhere in the region of 300 drivers were convicted and each received bans of 12 months or more. BBLAW WON EVERY SINGLE CASE IN WHICH WE WERE INSTRUCTED, including one client who had initially pleaded guilty before contacting BBLaw. The following feedback came from one of the last ‘Birmingham racing cases’ clients –
“Thanks again for all your help on this case, communication has been brilliant from yourself and the standard of service you have given, I couldn’t have asked for any better! It’s a shame I never got to meet you in person however I’m pleased with the outcome of the case and will highly recommend BB Law Ltd should myself, family or friends if ever need to seek legal advice in the future.” – Mr J, M – Birmingham
BB Law identified a procedural error with the way the intoxilyzer procedure had been conducted in this case. We then made detailed representations to the CPS, which resulted in the case being dropped. An application for costs has now been submitted. This client provided the following feedback –
“I just wanted to thank you for all your help and the exceptionally high level of specialist service I have received from you over the past few months. I know the outcome would not have been so favourable had it not been for your efforts, experience and in-depth understanding of the law in such matters. Your service has been outstanding, taking the time to reply to telephone calls and emails promptly and in depth, helping to reassure me throughout this case. Thank you once again for all your help and support. I will make sure I recommend you to everyone I know and anyone who ever asked if I know a good motoring specialist lawyer! Very Best Wishes” – Mr A, L – Bedfordshire
“Can I start by thanking you for your professional service and assistance with my recent speeding offence. I am delighted with the result, which ensures I keep my licence which I can’t thank you enough for. You handled my case without the need for me to attend court, this was stress free and convenient for my work commitments. I believe your approach to getting your clients the best results at an affordable price is second to none and I would greatly recommend BB Law to colleagues and friends in the future.” – Mr B, S – Barnsley
This case went all the way to trial but on the morning of trial the CPS were persuaded to withdraw the fairly serious Drink Driving charge (and also a related Fail to Stop charge) after BB Law point out that the officer had made a procedural error and perhaps more importantly the officer had made inconsistent statements in relation to the issue. The client pleaded guilty to a related Fail to Report offence and walked away with 5 points on his licence, a small fine and a significant proportion of his legal costs refunded. These are his comments on the service BB Law provided to him –
“After facing a difficult case, I can honestly say that I have no regrets about selecting Bobby as my solicitor. Throughout the build up to both appearances at court he was not only there to support me, but his in-depth knowledge of driving laws gave me full confidence to put all of my trust into his decisions. With 3 charges, including an Excess Alcohol charge, he managed to convince the CPS along with some evidence to drop the Excess Alcohol and Fail to Stop in return for a guilty plea to my Fail to Report charge.
I would highly recommend Bobby for any motoring case, because he was such a help and with his fair prices it makes his service worthwhile as his desire and dedication to succeed in the court is second to none.” – Mr J, M – Staffordshire
